Hal Reynolds
Founder & CEO
I’m the Founder and CEO of the Disinvested Youth Gaming Initiative, where I focus on empowering underserved communities through gaming and tech education.
Before this, I served as Associate VP of Employer Services and Consulting at the Center for Economic Inclusion, leading a team that helped organizations build racially equitable workplaces. I also held the role of VP of Sales Enablement and Social Impact at Wisdom Gaming, where I aligned sales strategies with social impact goals and expanded esports and tech programs for youth in disinvested communities.
Earlier in my career, I held leadership roles at Best Buy, overseeing national Teen Tech Centers and guiding strategy and governance through the Best Buy Foundation. My work has always centered on inclusion, innovation, and creating pathways to opportunity.
Dan White
Co-Founder & Board of Advisors
I bring almost 30 years of experience in technology, infrastructure, and networking. I have contracted with more than 1,000 different businesses and clients over the past 20 years.
Over the years, many mentors have shaped me as a professional. Through those interactions, I have had a very successful career in technology. I believe mentorship and apprenticeship are valuable avenues of learning that are missing in the current educational landscape.
Growing up, I made many mistakes, didn’t have a male role model, and didn’t have a direction. I did have technology & gaming, which led me down the path I’m on today. I love mentoring young people in technology because it is attainable and rewarding. The pay isn’t bad either. 🙂
I’ve personally mentored over 40 people between the ages of 16-30, helping them get educated, choose their specialization, and get hired at their first job.Â
Lauren Reynolds
Sr. VP Partnerships & Employer Services
I’ve committed my life to advocating for others by addressing and dismantling systems that hinder full access and prosperity for certain groups. I’ve spearheaded initiatives aimed at expanding access and opportunities for individuals in underfunded communities and those who are often marginalized. Additionally, I managed teams, crafted strategies to enhance the recruitment, retention, and inclusion of a diverse workforce, and executed organization-wide programs designed to attract and keep talent. I’ve also led collaborative efforts to boost the visibility and opportunities available to diverse individuals.
Originally from Indiana, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Indiana University-Bloomington and an MBA in Human Resources Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. I am a certified Diversity Professional (CDP) through the Institute for Diversity Certification (IDC) and received an Executive Diversity Coaching certification from Howard University.
Rayna Brewer
Director of Marketing & Digital Content Design
I specialize in creating meaningful user experiences and content strategies that blend design, research, and forward-thinking ideas. I love connecting people and concepts to bring big visions to life.
I earned my B.S. in Technical Writing and Communications from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, focusing on IT and Design. Beyond my creative work, I’ve mentored high school students, helping them imagine and build their desired future. I’m passionate about guiding young people to discover their strengths and supporting them with the tools and encouragement they need to grow.
Whether through design or mentorship, I’m driven by the opportunity to inspire, uplift, and make an impact.
David Le
Events Director
I’m a youth worker with a passion for creativity, technology, and gaming. For over three years, I’ve helped young people explore tech and build paths toward fulfilling careers. With seven years of experience in tech retail, I’ve seen firsthand how technology can open doors—and I’m committed to helping youth use it to shape brighter futures.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Game Design and have a deep love for the gaming and esports world. I believe gaming isn’t just about playing—it’s a gateway to careers in streaming, content creation, coaching, and more.
As Event Director, I’m focused on creating inclusive, engaging experiences that bring people together. At DYGI, we’re building a space where everyone feels welcome—because we all share a love for gaming and community.
Brandon Lugtz
Operations Manager
I’m a lifelong gamer, eSports fan, and passionate believer in the power of gaming to bring people together. I’m married, into health and fitness, and love diving into business books and investing.
DYGI matters to me because I know how much impact gaming can have on youth—socially, emotionally, and even academically. Growing up, I would’ve loved to have an eSports team at my high school, and now I want to help create that opportunity for others. I truly believe gaming, when paired with learning, can help kids grow in confidence and skills.
Whether it’s building community or leveling up in-game, I’m here for it. My guilty pleasure games? Marvel Rivals and Call of Duty, without question.
Lenny Silbernagle
Deployment Manager
I’m passionate about leadership, tech, and giving back to my community. I’ve spent years managing Geek Squad teams, developing talent, and helping others become confident professionals. My electronics and category management background has fueled a lifelong love for learning and problem-solving—skills I enjoy passing on to others.
One of my proudest commitments has been volunteering with inner-city youth, helping them succeed on the ice and in the classroom. Outside of work, I’m a family man with a house full of sports, laughter, and adventure. I love working on and riding motorcycles, and when I get the chance, I unwind with some video games.
Whether it’s mentoring, managing, or making memories, I’m all about building strong foundations and helping others thrive.
